MTJawnny.com is a static, ad-free hobby site. Here's what actually happens when you visit it.
What we collect
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) runs on every page: aggregate stats like pages viewed, rough location, device type, and referrer. It's used to see what's getting used, not to identify you personally. GA4 sets cookies to do this; you can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies in your own browser settings.
There are no accounts, no logins, and no server-side database on this site. It can't identify you by name or email, because it never asks for one anywhere on mtjawnny.com itself.
Third-party services this site links out to
- Ko-fi (tipping): ko-fi.com/mtjawnny. Any payment or account info you give Ko-fi is handled entirely by Ko-fi, under Ko-fi's own privacy policy.
- Tally (card-suggestion and bug-report forms): anything submitted through a "Suggest a card" or "Report a bug" link goes to Tally.so, not to this site, and is governed by Tally's privacy policy.
- Instagram (@mtjawnny): an external social link.
- Scryfall: some tools, like Token Grabber, query Scryfall's public API directly from your browser to look up card data. No personal info about you passes through this site to do that.
- cdn.mtjawnny.com (Cloudflare R2): card art and mana symbols are served from this asset host, with a Scryfall-hosted fallback. It's a static CDN; it doesn't collect anything about you beyond standard server logs.
- GitHub Pages: this site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs standard server-access data under GitHub's own privacy statement.
Cookies
The only cookies set on this site come from Google Analytics. There's no first-party tracking cookie, no ad-network pixel, and no cross-site retargeting.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
This policy gets updated as the site changes. The date at the bottom of this page is the last time it was touched.
Terms of Use
By using mtjawnny.com, here's what you're agreeing to, kept as short as it can honestly be:
- It's free, and it's a hobby project. Card explainers, proxy pages, rules pages, and tools are provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy, uptime, or fitness for any particular purpose. Rulings and rules interactions are checked against Scryfall and the official Comprehensive Rules, but mistakes happen; always confirm anything tournament-critical with the official source or your judge.
- Use the tools at your own risk. Tablekeep, the QR generator, Token Grabber, and everything else under /tools/ run entirely in your browser. Nothing is guaranteed to be bug-free.
- External links aren't ours. Links to Ko-fi, Instagram, Tally, Scryfall, Wizards of the Coast, or anywhere else go to sites this project doesn't control and isn't responsible for.
- No scraping the CDN for redistribution. Card art is served here to make this site work, not as a free image host for other projects. Don't hotlink or bulk-scrape cdn.mtjawnny.com.
- This isn't legal advice. This page was written in good faith by the site's solo maintainer, not drafted or reviewed by a lawyer. For an authoritative answer on privacy law, trademark, or anything else here, talk to an actual attorney.

Using Proxies Ethically
This site frames proxies as playtesting, budget, and accessibility tools, never as counterfeits. If you print anything from mtjawnny.com, here's the line we ask you to hold:
- Say what it is. A proxy is a stand-in, not a substitute for the real card anywhere that distinction matters. Don't pass a proxy off as an authentic card in a trade, a sale, or anything involving money changing hands.
- Know your table, know your event. Casual playgroups and most Commander tables are proxy-friendly, but sanctioned tournaments, even many local ones, have their own rules about proxies, sometimes none at all. Check with your playgroup or tournament organizer before you sit down with proxies in your deck.
- Never sell proxies as the real thing. Passing off a proxy as an authentic, tournament-legal Magic card, to anyone, for any price, isn't something this site supports or endorses.
- The point is access, not deception. Proxies exist here so more people can try expensive cards, playtest a build before buying in, or play with cards they can't otherwise get, not to trick anyone.
If that's not how you're planning to use what you print, this site isn't for you.
